The aim of the seminar is to raise the teachers’ awareness of the impact of cross-cultural teaching in English lessons. The objective is to offer the participants ideas and practical tips on how intercultural competences can be developed in forms 5-8. We shall discuss the role of cross-cultural teaching in motivating pupils to study English. I will share my experience from two study visits in the UK. I will review the course materials and share examples of activities from my own teaching practice. Participants will perform tasks on developing cross-cultural knowledge and skills in lower secondary school.
