Assessing Speaking Skills (Levels B1 / B2)Date: Tuesday 5 January 2016Time: 10:00–15:30 (6 academic hours)Venue: Kaunas Jonas Jablonskis Gymnasium / Aušros St. 3 Kaunas
| The aim of the seminar is to develop practical competences of teachers to assess speaking skills. The participants will analyse the assessment scale of the national English examination in Lithuania and carry out a number of tasks in order to understand how the scale should be applied. The participants will learn to interpret the descriptors of the assessment criteria and practise how to identify evidence of language proficiency in spoken learner English. The participants will be invited to join in discussions, carry out group work, role play in dialogues and analyse samples of learner speech. |
