Fostering values through projects
In this presentation I will share my experience of project based teaching and learning that supported my students’ holistic development. I will talk about international projects which helped my students not only to improve their English skills, but also to develop higher awareness of human values. The project “Prejudices and Realities”, in which we created a TV show, a radio programme and a magazine, enabled us to overcome stereotypes, appreciate our own uniqueness and celebrate diversity. The project “Different Worlds – Similar Dreams”, in which we made videos, allowed us to bring different cultures together and build a sense of belonging to the global community. This presentation should inspire teachers to participate in international projects which are intended to promote universal values.
