This seminar offers English language educators innovative, curriculum-aligned strategies for integrating media literacy and critical thinking into classroom practice. Designed for teachers working with both middle and high school students, the session emphasizes practical ways to engage learners in analysing media content, bias, and evaluating the credibility of digital information. Participants will explore how media shapes students’ perceptions, behaviours, and identities, and how to foster reflective, responsible engagement with digital content. Through interactive activities, real-life examples, and hands-on exploration of tools such as the CRAAP test and fact-checking platforms, teachers will gain ready-to-use ideas for developing learners’ digital resilience, civic awareness, and language proficiency in an AI- and algorithm-influenced world.
