The speaking part of the English exam is often the most worrying part for many students. In this seminar we will discuss how to improve the monologue and dialogue. How to fluently discuss a picture/pictures or a textual input or a quote? How to answer the questions in detail and not run out of ideas? What to do if you get stuck for words? What is important for the dialogue to flow naturally and for both speakers to be able to speak without drowning each other out or, conversely, to avoid long pauses? What should students do in their last lessons before the exam, and how can they ensure success in the speaking exam for those who still have a year or even several years to go? This workshop is aimed at teachers in junior high and high schools who want to refresh or learn the methods used in different countries to teach speaking skills.
