International music projects: Using songs to teach about social issues
Is it possible to combine teaching songs with raising awareness about different social issues such as animal rights, wasting food or lack of water? At Early Stage we know it is. This workshop for teachers working with 8-year-old and older students will show how Early Stage’s International Music Projects develop students’ interests, expand their knowledge, and help make them mindful of the needs of others. The participants will get a first-person experience through learning one of the project songs which will give them an opportunity to understand the steps of introducing a song in an EFL classroom. The workshop will present project songs, student video clips and examples of CSR (Corporate social responsibility) activities done through the years at Early Stage.
