Kuršėnai Laurynas Ivinskis Gymnasium Presentation “Teaching English with Technologies” Teaching with technology is not just about staying current on the latest tools, it is about knowing how to successfully incorporate the best tools into your teaching when and where it makes sense. The presentation deals with the possibility to apply different Microsoft tools to make learning English fun. Examples of how lessons can become more motivating and challenging by applying Songsmith, AutoCollage, Photo Story, Learning Essentials and other tools will be demonstrated. The presenter will not only demonstrate the tools and their free accessibility online, but also present examples of teaching aids made by the teacher and her students. The participants of the session will have an opportunity to ask questions and discuss the arising issues. As part of the conclusion, it will be stated that ICT shouldn’t be confined to ICT lessons, however, some reasonable balance between face-to-face communication and ICT-based tasks must be kept.
